PACKET PICK-UP & RACE DETAILS

The race starts at 7:30 a.m. from Rochester Park near the playground.  There is free parking throughout the park, but availability will close at 7:15 a.m. as the race route begins through the main lot.  ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EARLY FOR PARKING.  NO PARKING IS PERMITTED ALONG WEST MAIN STREET FOR THE SAFETY OF RUNNERS.

Packet pick-up:

Friday, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at District 23 in Rochester

Saturday, Race Day, 6:30 – 7:15 a.m. at the Rochester Park 90 Wildrose Lane, Rochester, Il 62563

Late Registration on Race Day:

6:30 a.m. – 7:15 a.m. at the Rochester Park

Awards: 

Unique watermelon trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers.  The top 2 male and top 2 female runners in each age category will receive a medal:  13 and under, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over. 

The awards ceremony will be held at approximately 8:45 a.m. following race completion near the concession stand.  If you miss the ceremony, awards can be picked up at the District 23 Rochester store.

Race Course: 

The Watermelon 5K/10K will be chip timed.  The start line is on the north end of the park and will continue through paved sections of Rochester and along beautiful trails.
